Calculator inputs
Calculations run in your browser. The capacity planner stores numeric scenario inputs in session storage to connect the planning steps. The website does not send those scenarios to equipment manufacturers. Share links contain the numeric assumptions you choose to include; anyone with that link can read them. Use only non-confidential inputs.
Editorial submissions
The contribution form collects your name, email, optional organization, message type and message so the site administrator can review and respond to your proposal, correction or privacy request. Submission is voluntary and requires your consent to this handling. Do not submit confidential project files, credentials or sensitive personal information.
Messages are stored as private WordPress records accessible to site administrators. This implementation does not automatically email, sell or forward messages to vendors. It does not offer a newsletter subscription or an equipment procurement service.
Security and retention
The form uses input validation, a nonce, a honeypot and limited rate checks. A keyed hash derived from the connection address is temporarily used for abuse control; the form does not store a raw IP address with the message. Hosting providers may process server logs and backups under their own configurations.
Editorial messages are scheduled for removal after 180 days by WordPress’s scheduled-task system; timing depends on site activity and hosting operation. Hosting backups may retain copies beyond removal from the active site. If a separate commercial relationship develops, agree any needed records and terms directly.
Privacy questions or removal requests
Use the editorial form and choose “Privacy request”. Provide the email used for the original submission and enough context to identify it. The administrator may need to verify the request before acting. Requests are received by the Power Infra Lab site administrator through the editorial contact form.
Cookies, storage and external sites
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website visits and interactions. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes information about pages visited, browser and device characteristics, and interactions such as scrolling and outbound links. Google processes this information to provide traffic reports. We also record article-to-tool clicks, valid tool calculations and successful capacity-planner imports. These custom tool events include only a fixed tool identifier and the page pathname, without query strings, fragments, calculation inputs, calculated results or form contents. This integration excludes logged-in WordPress users, strips query strings and fragments from the page address and referrer sent in its configuration, and disables Google signals and advertising personalization. We do not intentionally send editorial form contents or contact details to Google Analytics. You can block analytics cookies or scripts in your browser, or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. WordPress and the hosting environment may use operational cookies, especially for logged-in users. External source links take you to separate websites with their own policies.
Sponsored content
Sponsored articles must be visibly labeled, and relevant paid links must be qualified. Unpaid editorial reference links are not claims of partnership or endorsement. We do not promise rankings, traffic or sales outcomes.
Use limitations
The calculators and articles are educational planning resources, supplied without a guarantee of suitability for a specific project. Do not rely on them alone for construction, energized work, protection settings, procurement approval or compliance decisions. Engage qualified professionals and check current manufacturer documentation.
