What the arrangements mean here

N: enough equal blocks to cover the calculated duty capacity.

N+1: that duty count plus one equal spare block.

2N: two complete sets, each with enough duty blocks for the full load.

Duty MVA = IT MW × PUE ÷ PF × (1 + reserve % ÷ 100)
Duty blocks = ceil(duty MVA ÷ block MVA)
Spare capacity alone does not establish electrical isolation, transfer capability, protection coordination or maintainability. Shared failure points can defeat an apparently redundant capacity count.
